Freight Bookings

Bookings can be initiated into the system as follows:

• Manually entered into the system from telephone or facsimile customer orders.
• Entered directly into the system via the Internet, from customers who have security authorisation.
• Electronically updated into the system from a customer who has manually or automatically created an electronic data interchange file, again based on appropriate authorisation.
• Automatic rating is performed on each booking during entry or interfacing.

Freight Tracking

Our customers can access up to date and accurate information via the internet by performing the following functions:

• Manual entry of freight movement requests (Bookings)
• Electronically send multiple bookings.
• Check on freight movements via consignment note tracking mechanisms.
• Check work in progress (outstanding bookings).
• Check proof of deliveries from scanned documents.
• Receive proof of deliveries attached to electronic invoices.
• Check account statements and
  invoices.

Proof of Delivery (POD)

Proof of Delivery can be handled a number of ways including:

Bar Code Consignment Notes:
As each manifest arrives at a specific company depot, each completed consignment note is designated as a proof of delivery (POD) via a bar code wand.

Proof of Delivery Scanning:
Each completed consignment note is scanned at a specific company depot and retained within the system, so that customers can check proof of delivery documents via the Internet.

Manual Manifest Confirmation: Each consignment note from a manifest is individually confirmed, with appropriate quantities and rates. The consignment notes are then filed in appropriate sequence for subsequent customer enquiries.

Manifest & Consignment Note Printing

Each new manifest can be enabled for printing via operator control, where each booking (or consignment note) is enabled for printing based on associated customer parameters.

Manifests and consignment notes can be printed on laser or pre-printed stationery, to accompany drivers on associated trips.

Confirmation

Manifest confirmation allows confirmation of drivers and fleet assets (vehicles) associated with a manifest, as well as quantities and rates for each consignment note. Links are available to pallet control, mass management, driver hours and subcontractor manifests or payment advice.
