Danny Borg

Managing Director
22 years of experience

Danny’s father, Fred, established the business back in 1978. Joining Fred’s in 1988, Danny started in the truck workshop, before moving into various roles including administration and operations.

Over time, he gained experience in all aspects of the business, before replacing his father as Managing Director in 1997.

Today, Danny works closely with key clients, both strategically and operationally, and remains committed to delivering a high level of customer service to clients.

Grant Borg

General Manager
20 years of experience

Like Danny, Grant joined the business early in his working career, in 1989. He steadily gained experience across the business, in the areas of operations and finance.

He is very proud of the family operation and continues to maintain many of the values instilled in the business by his father.

Grant works closely with Danny, managing all the company’s financial affairs.

David Tuffin

Operations Manager NSW
36 years of experience

David started his transport career as driver back in 1973. Soon after he moved into operations management roles, working with businesses such as Fast Freight and Roccisano Austalia.

Today, David oversees the NSW operation for Fred’s, leveraging his extensive experience in the areas of linehaul operations, storage and warehousing.

Jason Hanley

Jason’s association with the transport industry is somewhat of a family tradition. It was only natural then, that Jason followed his family, spending more than 10 years of his career in Truck Sales for Taig Bros, selling IVECO and International trucks, eventually becoming the Truck Sales Manager.

Jason joined Fred’s in 2008 to manage the Victorian Operations with Benny Carrafa.

Benny Carrafa

Operations Manager VIC
35 years of experience

Benny has been involved with Fred’s for more than three decades. After starting as a local driver he soon moved into Fred’s workshop, followed by a stint in the operations department.

Following this, he invested in his own vehicle fleet, acting as a sub-contractor to Fred’s.

Years later, he returned to Fred’s as an Operations Manager, overseeing driver recruitment and assisting with national operations.

Joe Zucchelli

Operations Manager QLD
35 years of experience

Purchasing his first truck at the age of 21, Joe has spent much of his career as a driver for the fruit and vegetable industry.

Over time, he purchased a number of vehicles, managing drivers and the movement of freight.

Later, Joe joined Fred’s, bringing a wealth of experience to the operations team, where he now coordinates the Queensland operation.
