Fred’s is committed to the health and safety of its staff, clients and the broader community, and continues to explore ways to reduce its impact on the environment.

Using internal and an external HVA accredited Auditor we regularly monitor all compliance areas to mitigate risk for both Fred’s and our clients.

Occupational Health & Safety

All of our drivers, including our sub-contractors, are required to complete our rigorous induction program, which sets out their responsibilities and expectations whilst performing their role.

We also reinforce health and safety messages through regular internal communication, such as newsletters and ongoing training, which addresses fatigue management, vehicle safety and speed management.

Mass Management

Fred’s Interstate Transport are Concessional Mass Limit (CML) accredited under the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) and we routinely monitor vehicle weights to ensure they are not overloaded.

Environmental Impact

Fred’s are focused on reducing their environmental impact, through ongoing initiatives such as using better quality fuels and routine maintenance of vehicles to achieve optimal performance.

More recently, we have invested in newer EGR engine technology which re-burns specific engine emissions.

We also recycle used engine oils, tyres and mudguards with the assistance of external agencies.
